Attorney Jonathan Hecksel
Attorney Jonathan Hecksel owns and operates Lakeshore Law & Mediation.
Jonathan draws from his wide range of professional experience to help families find creative solutions for their difficult family law matters. He focuses primarily on divorce, custody, parenting time, and support matters and has extensive experience running family law trials. Jonathan’s approach is direct and resolution-focused, helping clients resolve their matters as effectively as possible.
Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Arts from Hope College in Political Science and his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, focusing on international law and litigation. He also earned his Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University, Eli Broad School of Business.
He enjoys spending time on the lakeshore, boating, and traveling when he is not in the office.
Attorney Lori J. Zellers
Lori is an attorney, family mediator and registered nurse.
Born and raised in West Michigan, Lori graduated from Unity Christian High School, Mercy Central School of Nursing, Grand Valley State University and Thomas Cooley Law School.
After working as a critical care nurse for many years, Lori decided it was time to improve her education and opted for a career change in the field of law. She received a scholarship to Thomas Cooley Law School and graduated Cum Laude in 1998. During her attendance there, she received the Raymond Burr Award, the Voelker Award and an award for Outstanding Service as the Assistant Editor for the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review.
During her time as a local attorney, she has gained valuable experience in the specialty law areas of divorce, child custody and support, property settlement, wills, trusts, estate planning, social security and disability. Lori also has credentials and training as a certified family law mediator for any type of issue regarding divorce or family law.
