What is included in the initial consultation?

During your initial consultation, we will listen to your situation and tell you how our firm can assist you. You can also interview us to determine if you would like to hire our firm so that you can move forward. In addition, we can discuss our fees and retainer system. Most initial consultations can be scheduled the week of your phone call.

What is a Certified Family Law Mediator?

A Certified Family Law Mediator is trained to act as an unbiased, third party mediator for family issues. A mediator can help you find compromise and solve family problems without going to court. Any family disagreement can be mediated to gain resolution in a more relaxed atmosphere than a courtroom. Plus, it saves you court costs and attorney fees!

Divorce mediation, family law mediation and Probate mediation is a smart way to focus on the real issues, evaluate your options, gain perspective and solve your differences without the time and expense of legal proceedings.

What is your hourly billable rate?

We do our best to keep our rates affordable, as well as be as efficient as possible to get you the best results quickly!
Our current hourly rate is $250-285/hour for billable time spent working on your case. This rate is the same for legal representation or mediation services.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

How does a retainer work?

A retainer is basically a deposit on your case, which the first hours will be billed against. Depending on your circumstances, after that you may then need to add money to the retainer or will be billed by the hour and invoiced.

Lori really used to be a nurse?

Yes! Lori’s first career was as a critical care nurse. But when she decided to further her education, she decided to go into law. Her years of nursing gave her insight to how families work, and what they need during a crisis to begin healing. She uses this compassionate, caring approach to her legal and mediation clients.
