Attorney Lori J. Zellers

Attorney Lori J. Zellers owns and operates Lakeshore Law & Mediation.
She is an attorney, family mediator and registered nurse.

Born and raised in West Michigan, Lori graduated from Unity Christian High School, Mercy Central School of Nursing, Grand Valley State University and Thomas Cooley Law School.

After working as a critical care nurse for many years, Lori decided it was time to improve her education and opted for a career change in the field of law. She received a scholarship to Thomas Cooley Law School and graduated Cum Laude in 1998. During her attendance there, she received the Raymond Burr Award, the Voelker Award and an award for Outstanding Service as the Assistant Editor for the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review.

During her time as a local attorney, she has gained valuable experience in the specialty law areas of divorce, child custody and support, property settlement, and any other family law issue. Lori also has credentials and training as a certified family law mediator for any type of issue regarding divorce or family law.

Attorney Michael L. DeYoung

Graduating from Davenport University, Calvin College and Thomas Cooley Law School after growing up in Fremont, Michigan, Mike began his career as a paramedic helping people with emergency medical issues. After 14 years, he decided to pursue his life-long dream of becoming an attorney to help people in a different way, with legal issues.

Since 2005 he has helped thousands as an attorney in the State of Michigan, and since 2006 in the Federal Court of the Western District of Michigan. The broad areas of his legal knowledge include driver’s license restoration, Minor in Possession, divorce, paternity, prenuptial agreements, employment discrimination, non-compete agreements, wrongful termination, unpaid overtime, as well as expunging criminal records, dog bites and denial of concealed pistol license (CPL).

Mike understands real world challenges and the pragmatic decisions facing families and businesses today. He gives each client individual attention and the best representation possible to guide them through difficult experiences. He focuses first on finding quick, civilized, fair resolution. However, if needed, has no problem taking a more aggressive approach.
